Founded in 2021 by Ndum Charlotte Ayeah in Bamenda, AAGYW Cameroon was created to break the barriers preventing girls and young women from participating in decisions that shape their lives. What started locally has grown into a nationally recognised force for change across Cameroon.
Every AAGYW program is built on three interconnected pillars.
We equip girls with knowledge, confidence and platforms to participate in civic life — from local governance to national policy.
We protect girls from gender-based violence, advocate for health rights, and create safe spaces for healing and growth.
We invest in girls as leaders — mentoring, training and supporting them to become agents of transformation in their communities.
Each cause directly reaches the girls and young women who need it most.
