Dr. Lawong Kendra Yaah is an educator, communications specialist, and peacebuilding practitioner whose work focuses on inclusion, dialogue, and youth participation. She brings strategic leadership and governance oversight to AAGYW Cameroon, supporting the organization's growth and long-term vision.

Foka Sherifatu Kinyuy is committed to advancing opportunities for girls and young women through leadership, advocacy, and community engagement. She supports the organization in ensuring its work remains responsive, inclusive, and impactful.

Founder & Team Lead

Ndum Charlotte Ayeah holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Political Science from the University of Bamenda. Her work focuses on advancing the participation of girls and young people in decision-making processes and strengthening the link between lived experiences, evidence, and public policy. In 2021, she founded AAGYW Cameroon, a youth-led organization working to expand agency, participation, and opportunity for girls and young people. Through the organization, she leads initiatives that promote civic participation, gender equality, and more inclusive approaches to policy and social change.

Programs Manager

Ntam Damaris Maih holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Bamenda. She is passionate about translating ideas into action and believes sustainable development begins with investing in people and communities. Known for her analytical thinking and strategic approach, Damaris brings a strong commitment to designing programs that not only address immediate challenges but also contribute to long-term social change. She is particularly motivated by creating opportunities that enable girls and young people to realize their potential and contribute meaningfully to society.

Communications & Engagement Officer

Kinly Brandy Ansama holds a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and African Languages from the University of Bamenda. She is passionate about the power of communication to inform, connect, and inspire action. At AAGYW Cameroon, Brandy leads communications and storytelling efforts that amplify the voices, experiences, and aspirations of girls and young people. She believes that the stories we tell shape how societies understand challenges, opportunities, and change.

Research, Learning & Partnerships Officer

Chianageh Mirasine holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Development Studies from the University of Bamenda. She is passionate about evidence-informed action and believes that sustainable solutions emerge when communities are listened to and engaged as partners. Her work supports research, learning, documentation, and strategic partnerships that strengthen the organization's ability to generate knowledge, influence practice, and create lasting impact.

Finance & Administration Officer

Sharifa Sale oversees the financial and administrative systems that support the organization's operations and sustainability. She is passionate about accountability, transparency, and ensuring resources are managed effectively to maximize impact. She believes strong organizations are built on integrity, trust, and responsible stewardship, and is committed to creating the systems that allow AAGYW Cameroon to deliver on its mission while remaining accountable to the communities it serves.
